The Competitors page turns Share of Voice from a single percentage into a full comparison — every tracked competitor, ranked, side by side with you, across the prompts you’re both being measured against.

The share of voice view

A summary card at the top shows your rank out of the total number of tracked brands, across your active prompt count, alongside a stacked bar visualising how the conversation splits across every brand with at least one mention. Below that, a full leaderboard table lists every tracked competitor with:
  • SoV % — this brand’s share of the total mentions across the field.
  • Mentions — the raw mention count behind that share.
  • Avg Position — where this brand typically ranks in an answer when it’s mentioned.
  • Avg Sentiment — how positively this brand is typically framed.
  • H2H vs You (W-L-T) — a per-prompt head-to-head record. A win means you outranked that competitor on a given prompt, or appeared when they didn’t; a loss is the reverse; a tie means you both appeared at the same position.
The leaderboard only includes brands with at least one mention in the stacked bar visualisation, but zero-mention tracked competitors still appear as rows in the table below it — so a competitor you’re tracking who simply hasn’t come up yet isn’t silently dropped from the view.

Reading the comparison

Your own row is highlighted and marked You, making it easy to scan the table for where you sit relative to each competitor rather than hunting for your name. A T badge marks brands tied on share of voice — ties are broken first by average position, then by average sentiment, then alphabetically, so the ranking is always deterministic even when the headline percentages match. The H2H column is worth reading carefully: a lopsided win record against a competitor with very few mentions of their own reflects walkovers as much as genuine head-to-head strength, and the tooltip on that column spells out exactly how a given record was built. Use this table alongside Share of Voice itself — the metric page explains why the denominator includes every brand the AIs name, not just the competitors you’ve explicitly added, which is why this leaderboard can include names you didn’t add yourself.
All figures on this page are scoped to your active prompts over the last 30 days, matching the window used across the Mentions feed and Citations & Source Opportunities, so the numbers agree wherever you see them in Surfais.
You can add, edit, or remove tracked competitors directly from this page — see Setting up competitors for the full detail on managing your competitive set, including AI-suggested competitors based on your brand’s domain.

Per-brand comparisons for agencies

If you manage more than one brand, Competitor Share of Voice is scoped to whichever brand you currently have active — switch brands from the navigation to see a completely separate leaderboard, prompt set, and competitive field for each one. There’s no cross-brand blending: each own-brand’s comparison is built only from its own prompts and its own tracked competitors. See Managing brands for how brand switching and per-brand scoping work across the rest of Surfais.
