What’s changed in Surfais, newest first. This page covers customer-facing improvements only — not every internal change ships here, just the ones that affect what you see or how you use the product.
The Surfais API, a sources summary on Citations, sharper audits, and tags, search and scan history on Mentions
The Citations page now opens with a summary: Your category’s sources at a glance. It charts your share of source co-occurrences against your tracked rivals, scan by scan. It shows which domains rose, fell or first appeared since your previous scans, and where AI answers get their sources, by reach or by source type. See At a glance. Other businesses’ websites are now labelled Company site, because most of them are retailers and shops rather than rivals you track. If you track many competitors, the Mentioned: filter on that page now has a search box. See Filtering by mentioned brand.Audits measure more fairly:
  • Your branded share is compared with measured ranges for your category rather than one fixed ratio, so most brands’ Readiness Scores rise.
  • When a platform-wide model update explains a drop in your visibility, the loss analysis says so instead of treating it as your brand’s loss.
See Reading your audit report.Across the app:
  • The dashboard’s trend chart no longer plots a day with no scored sentiment or ranked mention as zero.
  • Long dropdown menus, such as the brand switcher, now scroll.
  • Large accounts see every prompt, brand and competitor on their pages, where long lists were previously cut short.
  • In Search Console settings, moving a property to a different brand replaces its old mapping, and each property keeps a single primary brand.
The Surfais API is here. It gives your own systems the same AI-visibility data you see in the dashboard — brands, prompts, per-scan results, mentions, scores, share of voice and cited sources — and lets you manage what’s tracked: create and update prompts, keep a brand’s whole prompt set in sync with one call, add own brands and competitors, and request an on-demand scan. Platform partners can also receive signed webhooks when a scan completes or a score crosses a threshold you set.Everything a developer needs is in the new API tab at the top of this site: a quickstart, guides for authentication, pagination, errors, rate limits and idempotent retries, a webhooks guide with signature-verification code, and a full reference for every endpoint. Start with the API introduction, which also explains how to request a key. API-specific changes are tracked in their own API changelog.Your prompt library’s tags now appear on the Mentions and Citations pages. Each prompt row shows its tags. A new Tags filter next to the Branded / Non-branded toggle narrows the whole page to the prompts you pick, including the summary cards and the Searches and Changes tabs. See Filtering by tag.The Mentions list also gains a search box and numbered rows. In the response drawer, a Scan history picker now sits under the platform tabs and shows whether each earlier scan mentioned you.In the prompt library, the automatic question and head-term labels can now be removed like any other tag. On multi-brand accounts, each brand is now suggested only its own tags. See Tags.
The Searches tab, fan-out data in audits, weekly report emails, and same-day change feeds
The Mentions feed has a new Searches tab showing the actual web searches AI engines ran while answering each of your prompts — and, with Search Console connected, how many of those searches your site already ranks for. The response drawer now lists the searches behind each individual answer too. See The Searches tab.Your weekly recommendation report now lands in your inbox: when a report is generated, everyone on the account gets an email linking straight to it. This is on by default — including for existing accounts — with a per-brand toggle in Settings → Profile → Notifications and a one-click unsubscribe in the email itself. See Email notifications.Audits now analyse the same search data: a new report section covers the queries engines issue across multiple runs of your prompts, the domains that surface across multiple runs among the sources they fetch, and consolidated content recommendations built from them. See Reading your audit report.Freshness got a broad upgrade. The Changes tab — and the matching feeds on each prompt’s detail page — now picks up a completed scan within minutes instead of the next day: check the tab after a scan and the transitions are already there. Mention counts in your prompt library go further and update in place, as soon as a scan lands its results — even one started from the schedule or another tab.We also fixed a readiness-check issue where some fully server-rendered websites were incorrectly flagged as needing server-side rendering. Affected brands’ readiness results correct automatically on their next scheduled check.
Docs site launch, redesigned onboarding, and weekday scan cadence
This documentation site went live, with a full guide to your dashboard, scores, scans, audits, and billing. We also redesigned onboarding around a free baseline scan for every new brand. A short “get scan-ready” checklist walks you through adding competitors and confirming brand aliases before your first scan runs, so that first reading is as accurate as possible from day one. See Scan schedule & cadence.Automatic scans now run on a fixed weekday schedule that scales with your plan — three days a week on Starter and Growth, four on Scale, and every day on Enterprise — instead of a single blanket cadence. See Scan schedule & cadence for the exact days on your plan.
One-off audit purchases and email notification preferences
You can now buy a single extra AI Visibility Audit when you’ve used up your plan’s monthly allowance, instead of waiting for it to reset. See Extra audits & credits.Email notifications for alerts, billing, and account activity are now available, each with a one-click unsubscribe link that doesn’t require logging in. See Email notifications.Onboarding was also made more forgiving — you can now go back a step and revise an earlier answer without losing your progress, and a review step at the end lets you double-check everything before your first scan runs.
