A report is the recurring summary of what your latest scan found and what to do about it — one page pulling together your score, your accuracy issues, and your highest-leverage next actions, ready to read, download, or send.

What a report is

Every time you generate a report, Surfais reads your brand’s most recent scan data and writes a summary: an executive read of what’s changed, your current AIS Score, where you’re being represented inaccurately, what to fix first, and how your tracked competitors compare. It’s built fresh from live results each time you generate it, so a report reflects whatever your scans have found up to that point.
A report is not the same thing as an audit. A report summarises your ongoing scan results and recommends what to do next; an audit is a deeper, point-in-time assessment of how ready your site and content are for AI answer engines, scored on its own Readiness Score with a 30-day playbook. See Reading your audit for that side of things — the two are never the same document.
Generate a report from the Reports page for your active brand. It appears in your report list once ready, and you’ll get a notification if generation fails, with a retry option.

What’s in a report

Reports are built from the following sections, in this order:

Executive summary

An AI-generated read of the scan, ranked by impact — the headline of what’s worth your attention this time.

AIS Score

Your current AIS Score and how it’s moved since the last report.

Discovery vs Brand Authority

How your visibility splits between people already searching for you by name (branded prompts) and generic category questions (non-branded prompts) — see Mentions vs citations for the underlying data.

Accuracy alerts

Where an AI platform got a fact about your brand wrong, when representation-alert tracking is enabled. See Accuracy monitoring.

Priority actions

The highest-leverage moves you can make, ranked by priority, with a short explanation of why each one matters.

Recommended schema

Ready-to-use structured data snippets tied to specific priority actions — see Schema & structured data.

Top opportunities

External domains where earning a citation would lift your visibility most, surfaced from this scan’s citation pool — see Citations & sources.

Competitor snapshot

How your tracked competitors compare on AIS Score, presence, mentions, and citations for the prompts you care about.
Sections that depend on data you don’t have yet — no competitors added, no accuracy alerts triggered, no schema recommended this run — either show an explanatory empty state or don’t render, so a report never pads itself out with placeholder content.

How it’s delivered

Once a report is generated, you can:
  • Read it in the dashboard — every section renders directly on the report page.
  • Download it as a PDF — a formatted, shareable copy you can save or forward.
  • Email it to yourself — sent to your account email as a PDF attachment, useful when you’d rather receive it than remember to check back.
There’s no separate distribution list today — sharing a report is up to you, via PDF download or the email-me option.

Report cadence

Reports arrive two ways. Once your account is activated, Surfais schedules report generation weekly for every active brand — and every report produced, scheduled or manual, draws on the same monthly report allowance from your plan. That means how many of those weekly runs actually produce a report depends on your tier: once the month’s allowance is used, generation pauses until it resets. You can also generate one on demand whenever you want a fresh read, within the same allowance — see Plans & limits for your tier and Usage for what you’ve used this period. If you’re on the Scale + Agency Mode bundle, each client brand generates its own reports independently — a report for one client never mixes in another client’s data.
