Limits at a glance
If you run an agency managing several client brands, the Scale + Agency Mode bundle raises the brand cap to 10 client brands on a shared 250-prompt budget, with per-brand extras available. See Agencies: getting started — it isn’t broken out in the table above because it’s a bundle on top of Scale rather than a separate tier.
What counts against each limit
Brands — an own-brand you’re tracking, not a competitor. Competitors are tracked separately (see below) and don’t use up your brand allowance. Set these up in Brand profile. Tracked prompts — the questions you’re monitoring across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. On multi-brand plans, your prompt allowance is shared and split however you like across brands. See Managing prompts. Countries — how many markets a brand’s prompts can run in. Each AI platform is told the searcher’s market using its own location mechanism where it supports one. See Countries. Competitors per brand — the brands you’re benchmarking against, configured per own-brand. See Managing competitors. Brand aliases — alternate names, abbreviations, or former names your brand might be referred to by in an AI answer, so mentions are still attributed correctly. See Brand aliases.Scan cadence
Every plan runs automatic scans on a fixed weekly schedule so you don’t have to trigger them yourself:- Starter and Growth scan automatically on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Scale scans automatically on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
- Enterprise scans automatically every day.
AI Visibility Audits
Audits are a deeper, point-in-time check of how ready your site and content are for AI answer engines — distinct from the ongoing visibility scans above. The allowance varies by plan, from 1 a month on Starter up to weekly audits plus on-demand runs on Enterprise. If you need more than your plan includes, one-off audit credits are available as an add-on — see Add-ons. To understand what an audit checks and how to read the results, see What audits check, Running your first audit, and Extra audits. What happens when you hit a cap
Surfais enforces these limits at the point you try to add something — for example, adding an 81st prompt on Growth, or a 3rd brand on Growth, will be blocked rather than silently accepted. You’ll see how close you are to each limit, and get a nudge to upgrade once you’re near capacity, on the Usage page. To raise a limit, upgrade to the next plan. Recurring capacity add-ons — extra brands, prompts, and countries — are currently available on Scale + Agency Mode only; one-off audit credits are available on every paid plan.
