Everything to do with your subscription lives on one page: Settings → Billing. It shows your current plan, price, renewal or trial-end date, and gives you the controls to change plan, update payment details, or cancel.

Current subscription summary

At the top of the Billing page you’ll see:
  • Current plan and its status (for example, active or trialing)
  • Monthly price
  • Either Trial ends, Cancels on, or Next renewal, depending on your account’s state — a trialing account always shows the trial-end date rather than a renewal date, since there’s no paid period yet
  • A summary of what’s included this period (prompts, brands, all 5 AI platforms, and your report allowance)

Upgrading

Upgrading to a higher plan is immediate. Pick a plan on the Available plans comparison or the pricing page, and if you already have a Stripe customer record, the “Switch to X” button takes you straight to a Stripe-hosted confirmation screen for that one target plan — no browsing other options once you’re there. The new plan’s limits and scan cadence apply as soon as checkout completes.

Downgrading

Downgrading works differently, because a smaller plan may have a lower brand cap than the number of brands you’re currently tracking. Instead of an instant Stripe switch, downgrading opens a guided wizard:
  1. You choose your target plan.
  2. If your current brand count exceeds the target plan’s limit, you’re asked which brands to keep — the rest are scheduled to move to the archive.
  3. The change is scheduled for your next billing cycle rather than applied immediately, so you keep your current plan’s access until then.
Once a downgrade is scheduled, a banner appears across the app showing the date it takes effect and how many brands (if any) will move to the archive on that date. You can cancel a scheduled downgrade at any time before it takes effect — your current plan simply stays active.
Agency accounts get the same wizard-based downgrade flow for moving off Scale or Scale + Agency Mode to a lower brand-mode plan.

Invoices and payment method

Invoice history, receipts, payment-method updates, and billing address or tax-ID details all live in your Stripe customer portal — Surfais doesn’t store or display these itself. Click “Manage billing” from the Billing page at any point to open the portal. If you haven’t started a paid plan yet, this section is empty until you do — there’s nothing to show before your first subscription.

Cancelling

Cancellation is handled through the same Stripe customer portal via “Manage billing.” Once cancelled, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period shown as “Cancels on” in the subscription summary; it doesn’t cut off access immediately.
